Our family-owned company’s occupational health management (OHM) motto is “Fit for the future”. We invest in the long-term health and performance of our employees, because people are only productive, motivated, reliable and creative if they are healthy.
Taking account of longer working lives
“Fit for the future” also means that Brose is taking account of increasing life expectancy and a rising retirement age. We raise awareness among our employees about the benefits of a health-conscious lifestyle so that they can prevent illness and impaired performance and maintain their physical and mental capabilities to the end of their working lives.
A broad healthcare package
We support our staff with preventative measures – both at work and outside work – promoting their wellbeing and improving their personal quality of life. Sports and fitness classes, balanced, high-quality catering services, courses and expert talks are all part of the package, as are measures to reduce repetitive strain in production and administration and regular health campaigns on different topics.
Systematic expansion of the health management program
Our OHM system links existing health activities at our sites worldwide and develops them further. Step by step, activities are being systematized and health-promotion processes are being established within the group.
A central steering and expert committee consisting of management representatives, representatives from our medical and social areas and from HR coordinates activities and provides advice to the local teams. The local teams systematically implement health activities according to a standard concept. To support this these efforts, we are developing a network of external specialists.
