Krawietz wins ITF tournament in Porec

Porec (March 25, 2012). Kevin Krawietz from Ahorn-Witzmannsberg won the final of the ITF Futures Tournament in Porec, Croatia, on Sunday. The 20-year-old tennis professional, who has been sponsored by Brose since 2008, beat the favorite and local hero Dino Marcan 6:3, 5:7 and 6:3 to capture his second ITF title in his still young career following his success in July 2011.

Kevin Krawietz gained 18 ATP points for this win, meaning that he could climb into the top three hundred (299th) in the world rankings with a bit of luck. “The week could not have gone much better,” said a happy Lukas Wolff, Krawietz’ coach. “Kevin only lost one set in the whole tournament and improved from match to match.”
His next test is coming Monday, April 2, 2012, at the next ITF Futures Tournament in Rovinj (Croatia).
