Social Responsibility

For many years now, we have been supporting “Guarda Mirim” in Brazil, a charitable initiative that helps needy young people obtain vocational training. It not only helps the 14- to 18-year-olds advance at school and in an occupation, but also fosters their personal development and social skills.

We have been sponsoring the “Instituto Ixtliyollotl” in Puebla for many years. It is a training program for children and youngsters from Mexico’s indigenous population, providing them with instruction on health issues, personal development, environmental protection and industry. The knowledge they acquire is intended to enable participants to improve the social and economic conditions in their home regions.
 

We support the German School in Pretoria through our South African associated company in Brits. Here some 20 children who have grown up in impoverished conditions are able to benefit from an education they would otherwise not receive.

Since 2004, our location in Querétaro, Mexico, has been working in conjunction with the private aid organization “Dame Vida I.A.P.” This initiative has so far helped many people there to obtain vital organ transplants, giving them a new perspective in life.
