GHP Bamberg German Basketball Champion 2005

Hallstadt (June 22, 2006). For the first time in the club’s 50-year history, GHP Bamberg has won the German Championship. Playing at Bamberg’s Forum, coach Bauermann’s team clinched the title by winning the all-important fifth game 68:64 against reigning champions Opel Skyliners Frankfurt. “We are delighted at this result and warmly congratulate the team on its success,” said Brose plant manager Matthias Drevniok (Hallstadt) after this victory.

Brose Hallstadt has been supporting GHP Bamberg for five years. During this time, the team was twice vice-champion. Winning the German Championships 2005 means coach Dirk Bauermann and his team will be able to play next season in the EuroLeague, the “Champions League” of European basketball.
