Brose donates to victims of hurricane "Katrina"

Auburn Hills, Mich. (October 22, 2005). Brose North America, Inc. announced it will donate $30,000 to assist in the recovery efforts of Hurricane "Katrina", which devastated the Gulf Coast region of the United States. The company’s North American employees raised $5,000 through fundraising efforts. The remaining $25,000 contribution was provided from Brose’s corporate headquarters in Coburg, Germany.

“This is a time of great sadness, as our thoughts go out to the hundreds of thousands of people who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina,” said Jan Kowal, president, Brose North America. “The American public has responded to this disaster with generosity and compassion. Our company and our employees also felt compelled to contribute to this important cause.”

The donated money will go to the American Red Cross, where it will be used to provide immediate disaster relief to hurricane victims.

Employees at Brose North America will continue to raise money for hurricane relief through its ongoing fundraising program. In 2005, employees have already raised more than $10,000 to benefit various charities, such as World Vision (tsunami relief), the March of Dimes and the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
