Brose sponsors engineering students with more than 85,000 euro per year

Coburg (06.10.2003) For the fourth year running, the globally active automotive supplier Brose is awarding scholarships to graduates of mechanical, electronic, manufacturing and automotive engineering, mechatronics and students doing joint degrees in economics and engineering. Besides financial backing, the company provides extensive support for the students with additional training programs, foreign work experience and subjects for their degree theses. Brose invests more than 85,000 euro a year in scholarships.

Another five students will be receiving monthly financial backing from Brose as of the 2003/2004 winter semester. Scholarships are awarded to pre-degree students. The company is currently supporting 23 scholarship holders. Students attending any university in Germany may apply for such a scholarship.

“We are looking for the best because our jobs are very challenging”, is how Michael Stoschek, CEO of the Brose Group justifies his commitment to supporting performance-oriented and dedicated future engineers. Additionally, Brose hopes they can be persuaded to join the globally active family-owned company when they eventually embark on their professional lives. The students who take such a decision benefit best from this financial support. Those who decide to work elsewhere have to pay back the money interest-free.

Having above-average grades is not the only selection criterion for a scholarship. Capacity for teamwork, communication skills and open-mindedness are also necessary.

Please submit your application for a scholarship by 30 November 2003. (Zentrales Personal, Ketschendorfer Str. 38-50, 96450 Coburg). Your contact person is Achim Oettinger (Tel.: +49 9561 21 1778, E Mail: achim.oettinger@brose.net).
