Brose presents innovation prize for 2001

Coburg. On 25 July 2002, the “Brose Innovation Prize 2001” was awarded. The category “Products” was won by a team made up of members from the areas of seat adjuster development, continuous improvement, central purchasing and central production planning. This team was involved in the development of a gear unit which can be integrated into the tilt and seat cushion adjusters of the seat adjusters, saving space and weight. The gear unit will be utilized in several kinds of cars from different automakers in the future.

In the category “Processes”, Brose employees from the areas of central production planning and window regulators assembly came out on top with their joint project “New organization of low-volume window regulator assembly”. The results of this project not only mean a reduction in investment expense and space, but also make the assembly more effective and the processes in the development, planning and production areas leaner.

The Brose Innovation Prize has been awarded for in-house achievements on an annual basis since 1995. The aim here is to honor innovative proposals which, in turn, will increase the efficiency of the company and strengthen Brose’s competitive edge.
