Brose plant opened in Bratislava

Brose door systems for the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg: together with (from l.to.r.) Bratislava’s Deputy Premier, Milan Vaskor, VW Slowakia’s executive board spokesman, Dr Josef Uhrik, and Brose CEO, Michael Stoschek, officiating at the plant opening.

Bratislava. The official opening ceremony of the Brose Group’s first production and assembly plant in Slovakia took place on 7 October 2002. At this plant, located in the Lozorno industrial park, close to the capital city, Bratislava, there are 125 employees engaged in the production of the door systems for the new sport utility vehicles, the VW Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne.

“The Bratislava plant is our twelfth production site to be inaugurated worldwide and the sixth in Europe. I can well imagine that the team here in Bratislava are prepared to take up the sporting challenge, making it possible for this new location to achieve top results as well,” said Michael Stoschek, CEO of the Brose Group.

Flexible assembly: up to 2,000 door system variants can be produced without any major machine changeovers
